February - 2001 Trestleboard

Brethren,

This past January was another month that saw the lodge keep busy and accomplish a number of items: Our Baked Ham dinner was a success, Thanks to all that worked that day, and to those that sold tickets. On the 24th we conferred the Master Mason degree on a class of 4 Fellowcraft.  On the 27th we catered the Installation dinner for the Red Hook Fire Company and served 145 at the Fire House. Again a big thank you to those Brothers that worked so hard to make that dinner a success.

On February 6th, we will be taking Bro. Cuzminski to Harlem Valley Lodge #827, who meet at Dover Lodge #666 to have the Fellowcraft degree conferred upon him. Please plan on traveling with us to Dover Plains that night. A number of our Brothers will be participating in this Degree.  We will be leaving the lodge parking lot at 6:15PM.

You are cordially and fraternally invited  to attend the 1737th communication on February 14th, Lodge will open  at 7:00PM. This is Ladies Night, and all Spouses and significant others are invited to what is planned to be an enjoyable evening. The lodge will close by 8:00PM and the entertainment will commence then.

You are cordially and fraternally invited  to attend the 1738th communication on February 28th, Lodge will open  at 7:00PM. We will be conferring the Master Mason degree on a class of 4 Fellowcraft.  Officer dress is formal.  There will be rehearsals at 7:00PM on Sunday the 25th and Tuesday the 27th for all Brothers involved with the degree.

We are in the midst of the Masonic Brotherhood Fund drive, please remember that some of our Brothers are not  as fortunate as others and make every effort to extend a helping hand.

March 10th we will be holding our annual Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner, and all the Brothers are invited to help work at this dinner.

We have located the Video Tape which the Brother will be bringing back in time for the Brother-Bring-A-Friend Night, which is scheduled for March 14th. As of this writing we have 25 people we are inviting to the evening. We have room for more!  The Lodge will open for a brief business meeting at 6:00PM, and the schedule is: 6:30PM to 7:00PM 'Attitude Adjustment', 7:00PM a Buffet dinner, followed by the program in the lodge room that will conclude no later than 9:00PM. Please make every effort to attend and make these potential Brothers feel welcome and want to join Masonry.

Also as of this writing the Stainless Steel Cooking Pot is still AWOL!

March 28th we will be presenting Service Award pins/certificates to deserving Brothers, please mark this on your calendar as well and come out and celebrate with them.

March 31st  Masonic Charity Ball, at the Sheraton Hotel in Poughkeepsie.
